Once you have signed up for an account the system will send you a welcome email with information about how to log in.
This email will contain a link to your console. Typically the link will be something like:
https://yourcompanyname.liverydesk.com
where yourcompanyname is replaced with your actual company's name. For instance, if your company is "bobs cabs", your login URL may be https://bobscabs.liverydesk.com.
Signing into the console
The first step will be signing into the console which will require a chrome browser. If you do not already have a chrome browser installed on your computer, you may download it from google using the link below:
When an account is set up there are 2 "employees" that are automatically created... an admin user named "admin" and a driver named "demodriver". The admin will be used when logging into the account.
The password will be the password you used when you created the account.
The Console
Once you are signed in, you will immediately be presented with a view of the dashboard.
The view is broken up into 3 distinct sections. The header bar, the navigation bar, and the application view. The application view changes depending on the section you navigate to while the other 2 sections remain fixed.
The header bar
The top bar is called the "header" bar and it contains:
- The name of your company - This can be modified in the settings section under "Company Details" but it is pre-populated with the information you used when you signed up.
- Information about which user is signed in
- The logout button which logs out of the console
- The broadcast button which can be used to send a voice message to all drivers that are currently online. The message will play via their driver apps.
- The maps toggle which can jump to "map view" from any area of the application and jump back to the area you were in when you initially clicked the toggle.
- The auto-dispatch controls which turn auto-dispatcher on or off and allow you to choose which dispatch profile to use.
(for more information on dispatch profiles, see the article related to setting up dispatch profiles)
Clicking on the arrow will bring up a list of available dispatch profiles to choose from.
Once one is chosen, the button will turn green to indicate that the auto-dispatcher is active. - The quick job lookup form which quickly pulls up the details of a job by its ID
- The fullscreen button which will toggle the browser window into the fullscreen mode or out of fullscreen mode.
The Navigation Bar
The navigation bar is used to navigate through the various sections of LiveryDesk. It has 2 modes, the default mode which is the "collapsed" view and the "expanded view".
When collapsed, the navigation bar looks like this:
When expanded, which is accomplished by clicking on the arrow button, the navigation bar looks like this:
